Keita Bey, Vice- President
Has served numerous times on the Board of Directors over his years in Unity; drawn originally in 1985 to Unity Church of Christianity through a meditation group; serves on "Team Play," our social activities team; married to Joan Charlotte Rankin-Walker with two sons, Christian Bernard and Jeremy Steven, and one daughter, Autumn Mariah; "Unity feels like home to me."
Anne West, Secretary
A native Memphian who found Unity in 1994, changing my life forever; married to Jim West and have one son and a step-daughter; a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Health Information Management (although my heart belongs to the University of Memphis where she also did undergraduate work); now retired; since retiring have done volunteer work with Crossroads Hospice in the past and currently at the Woman's Exchange; love music (especially opera), reading, needlework, traveling and all animals.
Paulette Delk, Treasurer
Attended a Unity church as a teenager from time to time but truly "found" Unity in about 2003; has served as Board Secretary; married to Sam Delk and they have two adult children, who live in Florida; loves reading and square dancing in her leisure.
Born in Wilmington, NC and moved to Memphis in 1955; was active in Presbyterian Church as a Deacon and Elder marrying Linda Warren (Barnhardt) in 1995 and joining Unity Church of Memphis; served 3 years in US Army from 1967 to 1970; worked in telecommunications until retirement in 2010; has one son, one stepdaughter, one stepson, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; enjoys reading, traveling, golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. "Looking forward to serving Unity Church of Practical Christianity as a board member and liaison to Building and Grounds committee. Unity Church has helped me grow spiritually and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve."
A truth student since 1980, who joined Unity in 1999 after moving to Memphis from Buffalo , NY . A Masters in Social work has resulted in 30 years of professional experience in disabilities; teaching, public speaking, strengthening families, event development and management, fundraising, volunteer development and quality assurance assessments. Served two previous terms on the Board as Secretary and Vice President. The joy and spiritual expansion that result from service are central to her spiritual practice. Currently serving as Board liaison to the Events Team and looking forward to bringing quality speakers to our church.
An active member in Unity churches for at least 34 years; a retired Chicago police officer, mother of 4, grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 4; "known as a peacemaker" because of her good listening skills, patience and understanding; When attending First Unity Church. she served on the Board of Trustees as both President and Vice-President; chaired the Hospitality committee for 4 years and taught in Sunday school.
I have been a psychologist in practice for over 25 years in the West TN area. The type of work that I have done has taken me to many different settings. There has always been a need for me to have align my knowledge of human behavior with my spiritual beliefs. Unity has provided that place for me. I have been a member of Unity church since 1997. I have enjoyed watching all the Unity Churches in Memphis grow and adapt to the changes in the community. I believe we have an important message to provide to people in the community that I have not heard anywhere else.
A seeker of Unity Truth for over 16 years; passionate about reading, meeting people, and making soup; has a “total of 1 wife, 5 children/stepchildren and 2 cats."
Native of Chattanooga, TN area; graduated from University of Memphis with master's in counseling; married with a daughter who lives in Atlanta; professional career focused in program development, organizational management and executive leadership, visioning and development; came to Unity through attending events at Unity Village; has been with this church since earlier 90's; ordained Interfaith Minister with a love for studying, experiencing and accepting the many paths God has for bringing us all into His embrace of Oneness; her passion includes being of service to others' health and well-being through a wholistic practice, the Caring Center, and community involvement that makes a positive difference in the lives of others. My daily offering to God is "how may I be of service to You this day? Use me to do Your Will Your Way!" It is my joy to serve my church!
